June 7 ~ Saturday Living History Days
Living History Days
11am to 4pm. Step back to the early days of San Juan. Meet mountain men, Civil War soldiers, Victorian ladies, and more. Enjoy craft and cooking demonstrations. Enjoy an old-fashioned soda in the historic Plaza Hotel Saloon. See historic horse-drawn vehicles inside the Plaza Stables and Victorian furnishings in the Plaza Hotel and Zanetta family home.

June 14 & 15 ~ Sat. & Sun. Annual Early Days in San Juan!
Early Days
11:am to 4pm, both days. In conjunction with the SJB State Historic Park, the Plaza History Association hosts this annual event on Father's Day weekend. The event features a look at life in the 1800s, an 1830 Mountain Men encampment, 1860-1870 buildings, clothing, and an 1890 Barroom. Step back in time and meet the people of early California, see craft and cooking demonstrations, ride in a horse drawn wagon and drink an old fashioned soda in the saloon. Adults $3.00, kids under 16 are free. Wagon rides and sodas are additional. For more information call (831) 623-4881.

June 22 ~ Sunday Annual Old Mission San Juan Bautista Fiesta

Celebrating 201 years! 11am to 5pm. The Fiesta takes place in the Olive Grove adjacent to the Mission, admission is free. Annual Fiesta Days celebrates St. John the Baptist, the patron Saint of Old Mission San Juan Bautista. Bring the entire family for: Entertainment, BBQ Chicken Dinner, Raffle Prizes, Delicious Food Booths, Games & Displays, Live Music & Mariachi, Bingo and more!

June 23 to 26 ~ Mon - Thurs. Egyptian Themed Summer Camp for Kids!

ATTENTION PARENTS! The San Juan City Library Auxiliary is sponsoring a four day summer camp from June 23rd to June 26th at the library 9:00-12:00. The program is for 2nd-7th graders. This Ancient Egyptian themed camp features many hands on exhibits and activities and experiments such as; raising the Obelisk, paper making and an Egyptian Archeological dig for kids. Applications are available at the library. The program has a $20 fee for four days of activities, however there are many scholarships available so that all students may attend. June 28 ~ Saturday Los Padrinos Classic Car Show

9am to 5pm, downtown San Juan Bautista.
Featuring classic and custom cars as well as bicycles, vendor booths and trophy awards in all categories! Sponsored by Dona Esther Mexican Restaurant. This local chapter of Los Padrinos Car Club was founded in 2008 by a handful of San Juan natives, Los Padrinos is a non-profit committed to maintaining the low-rider mystique, while raising funds for local charities.

This years receipt of funding is San Juan Bautista VFW Post No. 6359, to help repair the roof on the VFW building. One example of some of the car clubs work is, bearing food and gifts, Los Padrinos arrived at Chamberlain's Childrens Center in Hollister to the surprise of the children. According to Pete Duarte, the president of the San Juan chapter, the early Christmas was made possible by the funds raised at the annual car show it hosts in San Juan.
